The X-rated Lewis Hamilton explodes
Lewis Hamilton, the 2008 Champion joined Twitter a fortnight ago and it seems that the young British driver is a little out of his depth.
Lewis made many boo boo’s on his page with statements like “LOL is an understatement. This twitter thing is funny. So many people get all stressed n what not.” It seems that the former Champion wanted to show his ‘young peeps’
that he is cool and aware of the latest ‘lingo’ the young ‘dudes’ use nowadays.
However, after a recent update on Twitter which Lewis immediately removed after realizing that cursing is not the right way to take out your frustration, the young British driver had to apologize. Of course such childish and immature
outbursts definitely dent a driver and team’s image and the media just laps it up.
Lewis was already being mocked for his writing style and should have realized the immediacy of this micro-blogging site
“To those of you who care, thanks for your support, am on here for you. To all you haters; I just don’t give a f**k haha,” said Lewis like a drunken clown at a wedding.
After this boo boo, it was quite obvious that his team and friends asked him to apologize and at least save face. With a strong army of 53,000 followers on his page, Lewis had to issue an apology and even that, did not seem quite
like an apology. It was more like a fashion statement.
“Right, to my young peeps I apologise for the language. Am not venting, I’m always chill. Was not aimed at u. God bless,” yes, this is what Lewis ‘homie’ Hamilton wrote on his Twitter page after the ill-advised expletive in his
last message.
Hamilton was drubbed for this lapse, being literally taken to the cleaners in an attempt to wash out his mouth. Comments like “You twit, Lewis” and “I can only assume from Lewis Hamilton’s tweets that racing from such an early
age meant he missed most, if not all, of his English lessons”  were posted on his official Twitter Page, certainly stinging the young driver.
Whether or not, Hamilton has learnt from this little episode has yet to be seen, let’s just hope next time he feels an urge, his phone is out of reach.
