  1. You can factor to find the answer.  

    x^2+x-6=0

    (x-2)(x+3)=0

    x-2=0             x+3=0

    x=2                x=-3

    So the two answers are 2 and -3.  

    So I guess your answer would be A because the two answers are less than seven.  I hope this helps!!

    so x= -3 , 2

    x = -1 (+)(-) square root ( 1 + 24) / 2

    x = -1 (+)(-) 5  / 2

    one solution x = -1 + 5 / 2 = 2

    another one x= -1 - 5 / 2 = -3

    answer a) &lt; 7; c) -5 &lt; x &lt; -2
