XBOX 360 using a surround sound system with Built in Amplifier in Subwoofer?

Is this possible to do by connecting your 360 to the TV using the Red, White, and Yellow cords? Then connecting the subwoofer to the TV also using the Red, White, and Yellow cords. I have 2 Red, white, and yellow connections on my TV. Will this work? Or will I need to find a way to connect the XBOX directly to the subwoofer? Run the yellow(video) to the tv. Run the red & white to the sytem.

not going to work.  Dont buy sony.  Yamaha makes some decent cheap HTIB.  If I were you I would save some $ until you can afford a good system.  Klipsch, JBL, etc. speakers and a good receiver like onkyo, yamaha, pioneer.

Well that is an interesting little home theater system there...and by interesting I mean problematic.  It's got 5 channel analog ins and outs...aside from PC's...not many home theater components will work with that.

The only way to get true surround from your 360 is to use the digital Optical Cable out (this is the little black flap on the end of the A/V cable that plugs into your 360)

The red and white RCA cables are only two channels. Most receivers will receive two channels and mix it into a 5.1 mix....however judging from the looks of that system I don't think it will.  When I had a budget system I would have the tv audio out going into it so that everything that my tv played went to the receiver.  

I would say pass on that system because it seems like a cheap piece of equipment anyway.  Sony makes a system for around $150 that will give you a digital optical conenction and many more options as well.  Even within the budget range it's better to go with good brands.
