XC Running Pulled Hip Muscle... Help?

I pulled my hip muscle about a week and a half ago running XC. I took a two day exercising break but it still hurts. I was wondering if there were stretches or something to alleviate the pain or even fix it.

  1. Common. Don't let it get too old. Had the same thing for years and started compacting the periformis area which is tricky @ best. If no relief in a reasonable time & it really interferes with your runs, get at least 2 good recommendations on a chiropractor- preferably from teammates. Since this field of medicine has a huge delta, finding the right doctor is paramount. Wish you good health/many wins.


  2. Eat a lot of protien to rebuild the muscle. (whey protein shake etc.) and try not to walk on it. Also make sure you dont sleep on it. You should be fine in a few days.
