XM getting fuzzy?

I am having some troubles with my XM radio. I have the plug-in portable one in my car, and the station that I chose for it to occupy has recently started acting up. There's a station starting to come through on it, and even if it's not playing the music from that station over the XM channels...it's fuzzy. I'm moving across the country in the next 2 weeks, and will also be on the road for 3 days. Is there a way to change the channel & reset the XM radio every time another station gets reception or am I stuck with the one that I had originally chosen?

those plug-in mod's aint that great simply for that reason, the fm stations somtimes get stronger in some areas,,,try to choose a low frequency station like 88.3-88.5-88.7,,, and try to move the xm module to a better area   like closer to the front windshield,,,

You can change radio station every 5 minutes. You are not stuck with same station.
