Peru’s Luz Maria Zornoza showed an elevated performance in the Women’s Singles qualifying round when she slaughtered Guatemala’s Beatriz Ramos in a one-sided manner at the XVII Peru International 2012 in Peru, on Wednesday, April 11.
The inform- Zornoza, who was second seed in the main draw of Peru International, did not show any mercy to her opponent and won the fight in a one-sided fashion without facing even a slight resistance.
The second seeded local lady consumed only 20 minutes in the court to beat Beatriz in straight sets with a massive margin.
On the other hand, Beatriz was completely helpless in the court as she had no answer to the power play and perfect execution of strokes of her higher ranked opponent. She lost the match without putting up an inspiring performance.
It was a completely smooth ride for Zornoza in the opening set of this contest when she played with wonderful precision and did not take much time in establishing an early lead.

In the second set, Beatriz played fast badminton and also remained positive in opening rallies. However, she could not maintain her positive run in the game as her opponent took over the control and set up a wonderful lead until the break.
After the interval, Zornoza progressed in the game with an impressive speed as she did not spare any chance to stretch her lead on the board.
The local shuttler was fully focused and composed in the court and won the second game without facing any problem by an incredible score of 21-11.
Zornoza emerged as the winner in this qualifying-round clash in just 20 minutes with an inspiring margin of 21-6 and 21-11.
