Haramara Gaitan, an upcoming shuttler from Mexico, showed her commanding performance on court as she played with precision and easily toppled Katherine Wynter of Jamaica in Women’s Singles battle at the XII Pan Am Junior 2012 Team Event in Canada on Monday,
July 23.
Haramara proved that she belong to a different class as she played dominating badminton and gave a severe lesson to her Jamaican opponent without giving away any game in this lopsided contest.
The in-form Haramara was impressive in her approach on court as she played with precision and remained positive in her shots throughout the fight and easily won it with a stunning margin by taking just 16 minutes.
In the meanwhile, Katherine failed to show her class to her Mexican opponent in both sets of the match and lost it in a one-sided manner without putting up strong resistance.
In the opening set of the contest, Haramara played impressive badminton by keeping the pace at the maximum level and remained successful in taking an early lead.
The Mexican player was in commanding position in opening half and set up a comfortable lead until the mid-game interval.
After the break, the in-form Haramara continued showing her remarkable skills on court as she did not drop her speed at any stage.
On the other hand, Katherine could not play fast badminton and also failed to stop the progress of Haramara.
The impressive Haramara remained positive in the execution of her shots and remained successful in clinching the set with a striking 21-12 score on the board.
In the following set, Katherine tried to accelerate her speed in opening rallies but failed to push her rival on back foot as she played quivering badminton.
Until the mid-game break, the confused Jamaican remained struggling on score board until the mid-game interval.
After the one-minute break, Haramara continued her roller-coaster performance without facing any interruption from her Jamaican opponent and bagged the set with a lopsided 21-11 margin on the score board.
The in-form Haramara emerged as victorious against Katherine by ending up the match in just 16 minutes with a punishing margin of 21-12 and 21-11.
