After beating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, the midfielder believes that his side can go on to continue their impressive run and have a decent season.
The Sociedad player was questioned about his team’s recent performances and his comments suggested that his team can go on to carry their current positive attitude and give their season a good shape.
Sociedad’s recent run of good shows has seen them remain unbeaten in their last 4 La Liga games.
This has seen the Spanish side climb in to the top half of the table and to many this has come as a huge surprise.
Last weekend, Sociedad surprisingly managed to humble Valencia at the Mestalla. Most of the people associated with the club termed the performance of La Real as one of the best of their season and Prieto was happy with the result and the performance to go
by.
He hailed the team’s calibre and insisted that there is still more to come for the Sociedad fans.
"Hopefully we can do more than just guarantee survival this season.”
He also stated that it is important to bounce back after their midweek cup defeat and the team showed true character to get back to winning ways.
“I enjoyed it and found myself comfortable. I do not know if it were my best game of the season, though, as I have felt good in other games, where we have had the ball and dominated."
“We knew that this game was important, though, because we could not allow the midweek Cup defeat to disrupt our League form.”
“That elimination was a disappointment, but we had no choice but to maintain our winning run in the League.”
Next in line for Sociedad are Getafe and La Real will be fully looking towards gaining yet another positive result for their La Liga aspirations.
Prieto also highlighted the fact that their manager, Philippe Montanier, has taken the bold step to start with more attacking players and that has certainly helped the team achieve the right sort of results.
Sociedad currently lie in the 9th place in La Liga table and have gathered an impressive tally of 20 points from 14 games so far.
