I've been helping my grandfather put Xalatan eye drops in his eyes for over a month now. He may have been using it longer.
1. I just use the bottle to put the drops in, I never read the prescription bottle (my grandfather has been using the medicine for a while, I figured I didn't need too.), I realized today that they are suppose to be in the fridge. He has been keeping them at room temperature ever since he was told to start using them. There is a sticker that says "If brought to room temperature, this product expires after" but there is no date. If kept at room temperature, when does the medicine expire?
2. My grandfather has been complaining of double vision. Is this just a side effect or a sign that the medicine is not working?
3. Will any harm come to the med if I put it in the fridge after being at room temperature and opened?
I am going to the doctor's appointment later this month to talk to the doctor. I would just like to know this before hand.
Thanks.
