Xavi Hernandez believes Iker Casillas has been treated terribly by Jose Mourinho – Football news
Spanish midfielder Xavi Hernandez is of the opinion that his World Cup winning captain Iker Casillas has received pathetic treatment from manager Jose Mourinho over the past few months.
One of the major talking points in the ongoing season was the benching of Real Madrid captain and icon Casillas.
Casillas, who is already a Real Madrid legend and has his name written etched in the hearts of the Bernabeu faithful, has been a symbol of the Santiago Bernabeu club for quite long. Many teams have been changed at the Spanish capital club but one man has
always stayed there, keeping his position between the goal posts.
The Real Madrid shot stopper is hailed as one of the finest goalkeepers that the world has ever seen and held the record of never missing a Premier League game for the Los Blancos for an astonishing 12 years.
However, a feud over a matter with current manager Jose Mourinho resulted in that glittering record being thwarted to ashes as the goalkeeper continually finds himself on the substitutes’ bench since January 2013.

Almost the entire world of football has criticised Jose Mourinho for his bold and strange decision and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 midfielder Xavi has come down as the latest person to blast the Portuguese trainer on the matter.
“I don't like to see an important player like Iker going through something like this,” he told a press conference. “It is terrible and I don't like it at all. Not so long ago they were putting him forward for the Ballon d'Or and now he's being discarded.”
“He's my friend, he is a role model for a lot of people, he is captain of Spain's national team - he doesn't deserve this. I don’t know if Mourinho will continue [at Real Madrid] or not,” he added.
Xavi and Casillas were pivotal in Spain’s emphatic triple triumphs at the global stage, leading their country to the glory of two Euro Championships in 2008 and 2012 and also a World Cup in 2010.
