Xavi Hernandez expresses delight on making record appearance in Spain’s win over Czech Republic
Spain midfielder Xavi Hernandez has said that he was privileged to play his 100th game for the country and hoped to play many more in the years to come.
He achieved the amazing feat in Spain’s difficult 2-1 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 in the Euro 2012 qualifier in Granada on Friday.
Spain downed their Group I counterparts 2-1 in the clash between the first and second placed teams. The La Roja secured all three points courtesy two David Villa goals in the second half which puts Spain 6 points ahead of the Czech.
Xavi was delighted with his personal achievement and said that he wants to continue playing an important role in the team. He added that he enjoys being part of the best team in the world and wants to help the La Roja in achieving many more honours in the
coming years.
“I am very happy. I have wanted to continue participating here. I have a magnificent role in the team and I have to enjoy it,” the Barcelona man was quoted as saying.

best in the world.
“I’m happy for the win. The team had problems and we worked hard. Throughout the game, we had control and in the second half we improved. It was a tough game and we did not expect a goal from them,” concluded the Catalan.
