Xavi insists Barcelona were superior to Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League
Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez has claimed that his side were clearly the better  in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League. He stated that the Catalans outclassed Madrid in both the legs of the last-four clash.
Barcelona defeated Real Madrid to march to the final of the UEFA Champions League in Wembley later this month. Pep Guardiola’s side won the first-leg 2-0 courtesy two brilliant goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 at the Santiago Bernabeu and drew the second 1-1 at the
Camp Nou, therefore progressing on a 3-1 aggregate.

defeat.
“The team did a great job, especially in defence. We knew that they were going to push a little higher. We had more possession - maybe not as much as we had earlier - but justice was done. We were superior in the overall tie,” the midfielder was quoted as
saying.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international revealed that his side were exceptional and deserved to play in the final. He refused to comment on any of the accusations from the Madrid players about the refereeing decisions, claiming that Barca were the better side and it didn’t
matter what the opposition says.
The 31-year-old termed it as a perfect night for the club as they qualified for the final and had defender Eric Abidal returning from a successful tumour surgery.
“They [Madrid] have lost and that must be somehow justified. Tonight was a fantastic night for Barcelona. We are in the final and we were superior to Madrid, whatever they say,” he concluded.
Barcelona will face the winner of the clash between Manchester United and Schalke. Manchester United are the most likely team to progress with a 2-0 advantage from the first-leg at Veltins-Arena in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904.
