The Spanish midfielder has stated that even though Barcelona are currently eight points above their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, it is too early to conclude anything about La Liga as there is still a long way to go.
Barcelona have managed to win each and every game in the Spanish La Liga so far.
This means that they have won all the six games which they have been a part of and that automatically takes them to the top of the Spanish La Liga, as no other team has managed to win as many games.
On the other hand, Real Madrid have already dropped eight points in the league, which means that the current Spanish champions are struggling to find their way into the league.
Since Barcelona are currently leading the charts, the only way Real Madrid can bridge the gap is either by beating Barcelona, or by hoping that they lose a game during the season.
Since http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 have been untouchable during the season which has been played so far, now it is time for Real Madrid to try and snatch a few points away from La Blaugrana.
The two teams will be locking horns with each other over the upcoming weekend and it is going to be Los Blancos’ first opportunity to bridge the gap between them and their arch-rivals, Barcelona.
Since La Blaugrana are already eight points above Real Madrid, Xavi Hernandez has stated that he does not want to get carried away as there is still a long way to go in the season.
Moreover, the Spaniard also concluded that if Barcelona are able to win the game against Los Blancos, it will not only give them a boost in confidence as they will beat their eternal rivals; in fact, it will also give them a three-point advantage over Los
Blancos, taking them eleven points clear of the current Spanish champions.
While speaking about El Clasico, Xavi said:
“There is a lot of League games remaining whatever happens.”
“It would be our seventh straight League win. It would give us confidence to beat an eternal rival, and it's a great opportunity to go 11 points clear, but there is no euphoria. It would be an important step to win, but nothing definitive.”
The two teams will face each other on 7th of October, at the Nou Camp.
