The Spanish midfield maestro has praised the Swedish star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, claiming that the former Milan striker is a top level player.

Ibrahimovic was once a Barcelona player and while many concede that he was a flop at the Nou Camp, Xavi Hernandez believes that he is a phenomenal player.
Ibrahimovic joined Barcelona back in the 2009-2010 season after he was swapped for Samuel Eto’o, who joined the Italian side, Inter Milan.
Many believe that Ibrahimovic was not getting along with the Barcelona team, but Xavi believes that the Swedish striker is a phenomenal player and did a lot for the Catalan club.

Recently, Ibrahimovic joined PSG from Milan and will now be a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s project in the French league.

Speaking about Ibrahimovic as a player, Xavi Hernandez stated:
“He is a great signing. He performed fantastically for us and he is a top level player.”
“He can bring a lot to them, and is the signing they needed to go on and win the French title.”
“I don’t think he had a disappointing season [at Barcelona]. We won La Liga and got to the semi-finals of the Champions League, he scored important goals and we had a good understanding with him on the pitch and in the dressing room.”

The Spanish midfield maestro is currently on a pre-season tour with Barcelona, and will be starting the Spanish La Liga season next month as his side takes on Real Sociedad in the very first fixture.
