Spanish midfield maestro has spoke about giving priority to the competition offered to him, instead of words of the Real Madrid head coach.
Xavi specifically pointed out Real Madrid head coach, Jose Mourinho, and expressed that he prefers playing football rather than talking about it.
While addressing the press, the Spanish international was quoted as saying:
"I watch most Madrid matches but I don't follow what (Jose) Mourinho says. I'm more interested in the football."
The Barcelona starlet then went on to discuss the Spanish La Liga as it nears its most crucial stage of the season. With 15 more fixtures remaining in the current season’s campaign, Xavi has stated that every game will be more than vital.
At the moment Los Blancos lead the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings with a 10-point advantage over second-place Barca. Although many believe that the title race is already over, La Blaugrana are adamant to continue fighting till the end
of the season.
Xavi has also asserted that even though it may seem unlikely, the Catalan giants can still bounce back in the league.
"If we compare the play of Madrid and ours, the gap is too big but we have not had the best of luck. Football is like that - sometimes it's the smallest details that matter and we have not been able to control those as much this season. We are keen
to win back those 10 points.”
As another footballing weekend nears, the two Spanish giants have their own respective fixtures to play in continuance of their league campaigns. Both, Barca and Madrid, will be travelling away from home on Sunday to play out their matches.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 will travel to the Spanish capital in order to plau Atletico Madrid, whereas Real Madrid will pay a visit to Rayo Vallecano.
Even though the two Spanish juggernauts are in top form domestically, the weekend presents quite a test for the top two.
Barca, who face a very determined Atletico, will need to overcome them in order to keep their title ambitions alive. On the other hand, a struggling Vallecano can complicate things for Los Vikingos.
