Barcelona and Real Madrid will be locking horns with each other over the upcoming weekend and Xavi Hernandez spoke a little about El Clasico before the fixture.
The derby between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Real Madrid is considered to be the fiercest in the history of the sport.
These two teams dominate the Spanish La Liga and there is no doubt that these two sides are a class apart as compared to the rest of the Spanish teams.
This season Barcelona have taken an eight-point lead over Los Blancos, who are currently the champions of Spain.
However, Jose Mourinho’s men have already taken the bragging rights as they have won the Supercopa de Espana right at the start of the season.
The first leg in the Spanish La Liga is going to take place at the Nou Camp and Real Madrid will be travelling to the Catalan capital to attend to a hostile reception which will be given by the home ground.
However, Xavi Hernandez believes that currently the team is not considering the atmosphere that will be at the Nou Camp when they take on Real Madrid as he believes that no matter what the conditions are, Real Madrid are going to come at them with all guns
blazing.
While speaking about the atmosphere, the Spaniard said:
“We are not thinking of the atmosphere in the Madrid dressing room. We have to have the ball, not changing our philosophy of play, avoiding Madrid's attack.”
The elections are also about to take place in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 and many are using El Clasico as a tool to start campaign for themselves.
While speaking about the politics in Spain, Xavi said:
“I do not think we should politicise the Clasico. We know the situation that we are living in here in Catalonia, but we are dedicated to playing football. We just want to win, and for people to enjoy the game.”
The two sides will face each other at the Nou Camp on the upcoming Sunday.
Even though La Blaugrana are favourites to win the Spanish La Liga title, there is no doubt that Los Blancos are going to try and win this fixture as it is their first chance to bridge the gap between them and the league leaders.
