The Spanish midfield maestro believes that Barcelona’s manager, Pep Guardiola, will remain at the helm of the Spanish Champions.
Xavi stated that he is very optimistic about Guardiola’s future and won’t be losing any sleep worrying about his departure from the Nou Camp.
The Catalan tactician’s future has been under a fair amount of controversy since he has shown reluctance in signing a new contract with the Spanish Giants. Guardiola’s current contract with the Catalan side expires at the end of the current season.
Recently, several reports suggested that the Spaniard will be on his way out of the Catalan capital. Although he has been linked with several clubs, Italian Serie A side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan are favourites to become Guardiola’s future destination.
Since Claudio Ranieri appears to be having quite a tough time while being in charge of affairs at the San Siro, it is likely that he will be replaced in summer.
The Nerazzurri have struggled throughout the current season’s campaign and drastic changes are likely to take place, with Guardiola taking over as manager being one of them.
Even though the Spaniard is not one of the most experienced coaches around, he has led Barcelona to 13 cup victories including 3 Spanish La Liga, and 2 UEFA Champions League titles.
The 41-year-old seems to have developed a close relationship with all his players and nearly all of them want the Spanish tactician to remain the head coach.
Xavi, being one of the most senior players, has indicated that he is hopeful of playing under Guardiola in the future.

"The coach has given us a great security. He is the key. We'd love him to renew because we are very happy with him. We have to wait because, after all, it is he who must decide. But he will renew."
