I would like to use my xbox 360 with my HP w1907 19 inch monitor. It is a flat screen LCD monitor that accepts vga or dvi connections, operates at 1440x900. My xbox does NOT have an HDMI port, so I am just wondering if I can buy any sort of adapter to use the normal analog cables with my monitor, like a vga/dvi to analog cord or something? Also, I am not exactly sure of the requirements, but my monitor does support 1280x720 resolution, which is 720p, so if I do hook it up my xbox would be able to play in 720p, right? any help on this subject will be greatly appreciated :)

  1. As you said, you can get the VGA cable to hook up your monitor.

To get sound from your monitor speakers, you need a cheap stereo chinch to 3.5mm jack to connect it to your monitor's input (if your monitor has a different audio connection, ask your local HiFi shop for a fitting adapter).

The native resolution of 1400x900 will be supported in the fall update coming soon.

However if your monitor supports 1280x720 you are already good to go.
