Xbox 360 3 red lights help!!!!!!!!

dude microsoft has a warrenty for the 3 ***** reds for 3 years it can be fixed for free !!! dont F*** with the console just call them man.

but its so dam complicated

and when your done with it

it wont even look like an xbox lol

itll look like some truck just demolished it

just send it back

if you have warranty its free

if not they you hafta pay about 100 bucks

call microsoft to know for sure

send it back to microsoft.they are supposed to send you a xbox 360 elite for free if that happens. The three red lights are known as the ring of death.

if you want to take it appart you can fix it

better to get a new one

try  calling microsoft depending on when it was made they will give you a new one

The above site shows the first incarnation of the fix which required drilling through the case and also says you need a special tool to open the case which isn't true - just a flat small screwdriver does the trick.

If you can source the parts yrself then cool. Otherwise you could buy an 'x-clamp fix kit' off me for a fiver! I sell them on ebay.co.uk and 1100+ people have fixed their xboxes with my kits. It's simply a replacement for the x-clamps with the right sized bolts and washer and thermal paste to replace the awful MS thermal pads (without having to drill into your case). You could buy the parts yourself but since I buy in bulk it works out cheaper + my repair guide is v good! Just go to ebay.co.uk, click the Community tab and search for user id XBOX_EXPERT

Don't ever buy the ebooks which tell you of a miracle fix cos all they will say is 'wrap a towel around it and turn on for 20 mins'. It will work (for a week max) but will also heat up all the capacitors and then they'll blow up!

No, because if you open it you will void your warranty. Microsoft extended the warranty on all 360s that get the RRoD to 3 years. They will fix or replace it for free. Call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and tell them your 360 got the red rings. They will send you a box shortly and you will have to wait a few weeks to get it fixed, but at least you won't void your warranty.
