Xbox 360's red ring of light?

last year the red ring occurred and i bought a new console and it was around december and i haven't gotten the ring yet but i heard of the hdmi chips or something that occurred around that time and since i got it in december am i safe or do i have to face the dreaded red ring again and I'm not sure if i got the hdmi chip so can u help me?

I'm afraid all xbox360s are susceptible to the RRoD.  But, the older models had a 33% failure rate, where as the newer models with the falcon chip have a slightly smaller chance, maybe 20%, of failure.  Also, if you have a 3 year warranty, you're only covered if the malfunction is RRoD; if it's a general hardware failure, Microsoft's warranty does not cover it!!

    Ya, you should have gotten a PS3... it has a failure rate of 0.02%!!

    Yes unfortunately although this problem is far more uncommon it can still happen, although if you do get it Microsoft will repair it for you for free!
