  1. You have to set your HD AV Cable to HDTV not TV, its the little slider switch on the connector that goes into the xbox, also try setting your xbox 360 to 720p in the display settings when you slide the switch

And to the people who said theres no difference between SD & HD want there eyes testing

Also Xbox 360 & PS3 output the same HD resolutions on HDTV's

    which is:

    720p - 1280 x 720 (Progressive) Best For Low End HDTV's

    1080i - 1920 x 1080 (Interlaced)

    1080p - 1920 x 1080 (Progressive) Best for high end HDTV's

  2. To be honest there isn't much difference in hd or non hd cables. I have used a hd dvd player with a scart and a hd cable and there isnt any difference. you may as well use the standard cable

  3. yes

  4. thats absolute rubbish. theres a huge difference between HD and just the standard a/v cable. these cheap £19.99 HD cables are useless, you have to buy a more expensive one which has better wiring inside. i bought one for £60 and  the definition with my ps3 is incredible.

(actually the xbox doesnt output as high resolution as the ps3 but its still gna look amazing on the xbox)
