Xbox 360 DVD Drive Grinding Noise?

Well I just bought an Xbox 360 a month ago. I dont know if i didnt notice it from the start but i started to notice grinding noises coming from the disk drive from my xbox 360. When i start up my xbox 360 with no disk inside it makes a short grinding sound followed by a slightly longer one. It is exactly the same to the one on this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iizntcm-b3M

When i open the disk tray with no disk inside and close it it makes the same sort of sound. Is this normal??

THe xbox 360 has a BenQ DVD Drive and i havent experienced any other faults, no RROD, no disk scratching, no overheating. Can anyone suggest what i can do??

It's normal. Mine has a BenQ Drive and does the exact same thing when it boots up. Like you, I didn't notice when I first bought it. It's probably checking for a disc. Listen closely and after the noise you'll hear something vibrate. It's perfectly normal, leave it be.

Try cleaning the disk drive with a can of compressed air.
