Xbox 360 Hard Drive?

Do I NEED to get a hard drive for it? The only games I'm planning to play are GTA IV and Rockband. I'm not planning to play online.

you don't need it for those purposes unless you plan to buy a lot of extra tracks for rock band.  Get a memory card and maybe you can get a hard drive if your plans change.  the memory card will save your gamertag with achievements and game saves.  You can fit quite a few game saves on it, more than enough for 2 or 3 games.  Don't believe these people that say you need a HD to save games, they fit on memory cards.

Do you plan on downloading tracks for Rock Band? If you do then by all means, get the smallest HD you can afford.

A hard drive is for memory and saving games, but if you want to play gta IV whats the point of not having it< I think you need a hard drive because its all missions in that game.

It would make no sense to buy a memory card because you can get a used 20gb HDD on ebay for $50 or less.

You don't HAVE to have it unless you have probably more then a couple games that you need to save or want to download a lot of things.

A HDD is good for downloads and everything but if you just want saved games then all you need is a small memory card.
