Xbox 360 Ring of Death Question?

Why do all these people sell these Xbox 360's with the ring of Death, on eBay when they can get them fixed for fee by Microsoft?

You can get them fixed, with the warranty.  My guess is the warranty is expired on those ones for sale, and the owner doesn't want to pay to have them repaired.

The only compensation Microsoft offered about the red rings was expanding the length of the warranty by one year, but once it expires you are out of luck and the repair money is out of your pocket.

they probably voided the warranty and hope that someone will buy it since it's pretty much worthless.

Isn't it obvious? They wanna try and sell a broken 360 and make some money instead of waiting for it to be fixed.

because its a wildcard... ms could charge you $15 for a resistor replacement or $300 for a cpu... you feelin lucky
