Xbox 360 Surround sound w/ Logitech X-350 speakers?

I have a set of Logitech X-350 speakers. They have the standard PC connector plugs ( 3, green, orange, black). I wanted to know if it is possible to hook this up the the 360 and retain surround sound. I am thinking that a reciever that supports the PC outputs would do just fine. Any Suggestion?

  1. I'm not sure there is an X-350. Don't you mean X-530? These ones: http://images.tigerdirect.ca/skuimages/l...

If there is in fact an X-350, then my answer applies as well. What you need is an adapter. I have the X-530 set-up and it came with a little adapter that looks like this: http://xsgfx.com/images/klz1196658131p.J...

I'm not really sure how these HD consoles work but my consoles at home, PS2 and Wii, have three composite wires: red, white and yellow. Like this: http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbvi...

The red and the white ones should go in your surround adapter instead of the TV and the yellow one just goes into the TV. Just plug the speakers in the adapter and you have surround sound.

Again, I'm not sure if the Xbox 30 comes with these cables so you should check that first. If you don't have the surround adapter I refer to, you can buy one separately. I have the X-530 speakers so if yours are the same, try to look in the box to see if you have the adapter.

Yo can buy the adapter here: http://www.amazon.com/Console-Adapter-Co...

Many people complain that this is not true surround because it's a stereo signal spread over five speakers, but I used this with a DVD player and the THX sound test recognized all surround speakers as unique channels.
