Question:

Xbox 360 - The IP Address keeps failing on wireless

My xbox 360 wireless router has worked perfectly until today (about 8months) but for some reason today it said that my IP address failed for no reason. I have a BT Home Hub (the old edition - the black one), the console has a connection with the home hub, but it will not log into live or media. If anyone can help that would be super cool :D

By the way I have power cycled the Home Hub twice, and disconnected and then reconnected the connection but it just brings out the same results. Also the internet works fine on my Vista (connected straight to the Home Hub) and on my iMac (connected wirelessly).

  1. Try ur wep key in upper case and not the viosion wep key.. Enjoy

  2. what about the wireless key ?

on the home hub will find like to stickers:

    - wireless settings & it will has a wireless key which we suppose to use. "keep this one with u"

    - & fusion setting which also has a wireless key which we r NOT suppose to use,

    - NOW u have got the correct wireless key, restore the network settings to the factory defaults ( system- network settings- restore to factory defaults)

    then cancel.

    - Then select ur network from ( system- network settings- edit settings wireless mode & then enter the WPA key which is the wireless key for the wireless setting,

    - i think this will resolve it hopefully & tell about the results ;)

  3. Try Resetting your router.

  4. wireless sucks i really isnt the way forward
