Xbox 360 and Samsung TV?

Well i have a xbox 360 premium version with the hdmi slot. And i have a Samsung Tv With 2 hdmi slots. I also have a HDmi cable. But when i put the hdmi cable into my xbox and into the tv, it does not let me display 1080p only 720p and 1080i. Is it my hdmi cable that has a problem or my tv ?

I have the same setup as you, and as far as I know I'm running 1080p fine with my HDMI cable. Have you tried switching to the other HDMI port? Also try going into the menu (even though it sounds obvious) and try switching the display settings to 1080p.

Updated - So I'm assuming that when it is not going through the HDMI cable you can select 1080p on both your TV and XBOX? Where did the HDMI cable come from?

The XBOx 360 does not do 1080p gaming.

Check ur settings on ur xbox.

go to ur display thingy on ur dashboard. if that doesnt work, u could set ur tv to 1080p
