Ok so I'm looking to start an entertainment setup, I have an xbox 360 with a HD cable, and will be getting a computer monitor with a HD input, I want a set of speakers that can output sound from the xbox and computer, hopefully at the same time, but if not, just changing a few cables around, quick and easy.

If anyone actually understood that any help ;( ?

  1. Ok so I take it you have an Xbox elite with the HDMI Cable?  If so here's how I set my Xbox Elite to my monitor with sounds.

Put the HDMI cable in the Elites HDMI port and put it in one of the ports in the back of your monitor (you will probably need a HDMI adapter for this)

Next the Elite comes with a HDMI Audio cable.  Plug this into the back of your Xbox.  Now you will also need to buy this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Stereo-Plu...

Plug the red and black jacks into the HDMI audio cable and the 3rd jack goes into  your 'Linein' port in the back of your PC. (Its the blue socket)

Any speakers you have will work if this is done.  But if your looking to buy new ones go with these:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Z-2300-...

I have a set,  they are amazing!

Then just connect the xbox into the mains and your good to go!

    Good luck!
