Xbox 360 chat and game help?

when I try and invite my friend to chat it wont work it just says "joining chat" then quits the private chat. It also wont let us join each others games but we can send messages. how can I stop this

If there in a game it will just cut out but your friend may also be cancelling the chat! And if your friends are in a private match the host must invite you or if the game is full you cant enter!

your nat settings are messed up basically your router has a strict nat you have to find a way to fix it but it changes depending on your router type
