Xbox 360 doesn't play sounds?

Question

I have a hd tv and connected it to my new hd tv however, it doesn't output any sounds for some reason, I can see the game and everything but can't hear any sounds

it will be in your tv settings you have to turn on or off the audio for another source ie like surround sound ( that's what i had to do )

check all the wires and make sure they are plugged in properly
