Xbox 360 four red rings?

I've been hearing that it's about the AV cable. However, no matter what I do, I can't get it to disappear and it won't show up on the screen.

What should I do?

  1. Go to costco buy a new one.

trade ur old one for the new one then if they ask why say u got two for ur birthday.

    it works

  2. U CALL MICROSOFT AND THEY TELL U THE REAL ERROR IDK IF 4 IS AV CORD BUT MABY

AND MINES BROKE AND  THEY SENT ME 1  I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO SEND MINE THEY TOLD ME JUST THORW ALWAY MINE

  3. what my friend did is well actually it took him two xboxs to realize this but what he did is just unplug the av cable  and put it somewhere else also you may wan to get an intercooler and some hints not to ruin your discs is not to move xbox while a disc is in it dont leave it on for hours at a time (unless your playing it) and to clean the sides of it out with one of those aircans and if udon'tt have one just blow on it (it work as good but it works)

  4. It is the AV cable.  4 rings is nothing to worry about.  Double check all your connections between the 360 and your TV.  Make sure they are nice and tight.  If that doesn't work, take a look at your AV cable, it may need replacing.  It is a pretty easy fix, a lot less stressful than the 3 rings of death.  A lot of people here think that 4 red rings means the same as the 3 red rings, don't listen to them, they are totally incorrect.

I have gotten the 4 rings once because my AV cable came unplugged while the system was on.  I just had to replug it in and restart the system

  5. Plug in the AV cable? Then the 4 red rings will disappear and you will get a picture on screen!

IF that doesn't fix it then it might be the connector inside the Xbox that the cable plugs into that has broken. Try another AV cable first to see if that fixes it. And rarely it can be a cold solder joint under the (H)ANA chip... in which case you're stuffed! (Unless you want to take the console to pieces and get a heatgun to it).
