Xbox 360 hard drive and PS3?

Question

Do 360's require special hard drives to save, or will any one work? I'm looking to buy an Arcade version with the memory cards until I have enough to but a drive, but don't know if I need a special one. Help?

Also, I heard that you need an HD tv to run a PS3, true or no?

You have to get an XBOX360 Hard Drive. Period. You can use and external for music and media and I believe for game saves, but not for games or downloadable content.

No, you do not need an HD TV to display a PS3 game. You can scale back the video. I'm not sure about Blu-ray, but I'm guessing there is also an option to scale video output for Blu-ray as well. Although, I really don't know why you'd bother. I'd just buy regular DVDs if there was no HD set.

Ps. Yes there are mods and hacks that allow you to use larger drives as 'internal'... but kiss your waranty goodbye. And that's not a good thing given XBOX360's track record. They have an extremely extended waranty for a reason!

As you can see there is a wide range of prices depending on the size of the drive, and whether or not it is new. You can get used and refurbished drive as well. Prices have remained fairly strong for the 120gb drive due to Microsoft sticking with it's proprietary drives.

they dont require special hard drives to save any one will work.

the tv that connects to the ps3 has to have like the certain output or the graphics wont loook at good but it will work on any tv.
