Xbox 360 high def. and panasonic tv?

Question

I just found out my television has high definition capabilities and tried to connect my xbox 360 to the tv. but first i need to set the proper high definition output setting. i called xbox customer services and they couldnt help me because i didnt know the proper #. this used to be another family members tv so i dont know how to find that out does anyone know how?

Not sure what # you are asking about but I'll tell you how I got my TV working with my 360..

First make sure that you have switched the adapter that connects to the TV from your Xbox to Hd.  After that go into the setup screen and select your Tv's resolution. (Is it 1080p or 1080i or 720p)

After that your screen will change and ask you if you want to keep settings. If you can see then just select keep settings. If not it will reset itself back to the previous one.  

Your Tv usually has settings also. Play with those if this doesn't work.  good luck..

Look on the sticker on the back of the tv and see if there is a serial number. Refrence that serial number at www.panisonic.com

I own a 42" Viesa flat screen plasma. If a signal is Hi Def it will display it in high def.
