Xbox 360 media error?????HELP PLEASE?

So im trying to play my mp4 files on my xbox 360 and its not working im just getting a message saying "media error ( status code: 51-C00DF236) sign into xbox live to update" ok well i dont have xbox live nor am i going to go out and buy it so is there any other way i can update it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

well if you dont have live theres not much you can do. Try to secure a 24 hour trial and download the Unprotected Media Update.
