Xbox 360 monster cables?

ok i got the monster cables 4 my xbox 360 it has the fiber optic cable i plugged every thing into my tv(my tv has the optic cable output)i have a picture but no sound. how do i get the sound?

Your TV needs an optical input, not an output.

And whoever spends money on name brand cables is retarded.

Your fiber optic cable needs be plugged into a home theater receiver or something with a optical INPUT....output sends out the signal and input receives the signal. The optical output of your tv is meant to send out the audio signal if you have an HDMI cable plugged in and want to send the HDMI audio to your receiver.

As tyler implied - you need to feed the optical cable to a DD5.1 INPUT.

Most TV's do not have these. You need a DD receiver.
