Xbox 360 no sound question

Question

I am currently getting no sound with my xbox 360. yesterday, i had it, then it went back off, then on, and then off again and it wont come back. i checked all of the cable and they are all in an correct. any ideas what to do? none of the settings on the TV have been changed since it worked yesterday.

If you have a DVD player I would try connecting it the same way your 360 is connected and seeing if the volume works, if it works than there might be a shorting problem with your A/V cables, if it doesn't work then your A/V input on your television may be shorting, or you can find a different port on your television and plug your 360 in and see if it works in that location.

Try adjusting the red and white cables on either the back or front of your tv and check the wires for chinks or something ontop of them make sure they are plugged into the xbox well then if that doesnt work call xbox support.

try hooking it up to another tv.  If you get sound then its the tv.  if not its the cable.  if you still dont get sound after the cable change then its your 360.  Unless you didnt check the volume! lol

my guess is a short wire you will probably have to get new cord hook ups
