Xbox 360 on/off button not working properly?

Question

When i finish playing a game and go to the xbox dashboard,i press the off button and the console switches off but i can still hear it working,so when i press it again,it has the 3 red lights on it,then it switches off.

So,when i try turning it on again,it still has the red lights,but works about 3 hours later.I'm thinking of sending it to microsoft but they won't know what i mean because it hasn't happened on anyone elses xbox before.What do you think i should do?

you should check the Microsoft 360 website, they usually have all the problems and how to fix them. If that doesnt work then call customer service and tell them whats going on, your warranty should cover the problem.

when u call you dont need tell them the whole just freakan tell them u got rrod

even if its working now i would send it now because you dont want it break  in nov/oct/dec when all these games coming out
