hey i have a refurbished xbox 360 and it got the rrod, but the thing is i dont have the warranty sticker. I called microsoft and they said they will fix it for free but idk if they know i dont have the sticker. Will they accept it if it doesnt have the warranty sticker, and do they check every xbox's sticker?? If so do you think writing a letter saying i had bought the xbox 360 refurbished with the ms sticker off, and if this caused an issue to call me, work?? Thanks!

  1. You only need the serial number on the back of the Xbox to let them know when the xbox was bought. As long as it was less than three years ago, they will replace / mend your RROD problem completely free of charge. If you don#t have this number, i don't think you will get very far with your repair. Try phoning and asking them, i'm sure they will tell you. Good luck matey. Billy (Fellow Xbox Fan) x

  2. MS will not help you out at all if you don't have that sticker on their.  I can list some resources if you wanna try to fix it yourself.  It might cost you a total of $10 bucks do it yourself.

search YouTube.com for "Tutorial X Clamp Fix"

If you are too scared to do it yourself, then go to eBay and search for Xbox 360 repair.  You send it to someone.  They fix it and send it back.  Might cost you $50 - $75

Hope I've helped.  Seriously check out those first 3 sites I listed.

  3. Microsoft identifies all Xbox 360's by their serial number located on the back. I am not entirely sure what a "warranty sticker" is. Just call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they will ask for the Xbox's serial number and that will tell them if all of the console and warranty information.

  4. Obviously you are concerned that you might have gotten ripped off, but refurbished Xbox 360's, especially if bought from an official retailer, will have the warranty transferred over to the console. So, just to make sure, I would call Microsoft again, 1800-4MY-XBOX, and tell them that your console was refurbished and that even though there is no warranty sticker, you should still be honored the warranty. otherwise, go back to the place that sold it to you and get your money back

hope this helps and gets best answer
