Xbox 360 question???

Question

I just bought an xbox 360 on ebay for $140. It works fine but it is loud as h**l. Not so much so when you turn it on but when i put a game in it becomes very loud. And it also gets very hot very fast. Is this normal? And do those cooling fans work?

I think it probably gets hot because the cooling fans are broken.  And also the volume could just be a glitch in the system.  This is probably why it was so cheap.  If you can manage keep it and deal with it.  If you can't buy one from a retailer.  With no warranty there is nothing you can do.  This may sound harsh but thats what you get for buying an xbox 360 for less than half of its retail price.

You get what you pay for...

Plus you probably don't have a warranty on it from buying it from eBay and not from a retailer, so if it overheats and causes it to malfunction, you're SOL.

over heating is normal.I would cool it down fast or it will constantly freeze on you.the cooling fans should work.

The 360 is quite loud, specially compared the the other 2 (my PS3 purrs like a kitty, but it does heat up the room fast). I'm not sure how well the fans work, but you should look up reviews. I read some comparisons on the ones that came out a while back, and there are some that are better than others.
