Xbox 360 repair question?

This red light keeps coming on by my power switch...how do i get it to turn off?? is this serious??? I know there are a lot of xbox's that have defects...

yes it is serious its the red rings of death. call 18004myxbox it is the customer service number and if you have had it for less then 3 years they will repair it or send you a new one, it will take about a month to get it back though

Hi Ross,

Yes there are loads of problems with the console due to not enough cooling. To fix the problem you will need to send it in. The reason that it happens is because the GPU and the CPU take far too much heat and then fry!
