Xbox 360 - the red ring of death?

how do i go about getting this fixed. thanks

You have to contact microsoft, There is no way of fixing it yourself. Unless you are a games console engineer, which I'm guessing you're not.

If you use ebay, search it on there, as you can get it fixed for £10. I personally did this, and, it took 2 hours. I went to lunch, came back, it was fixed.

i fixed it myself manually and didn't mail it back to microsoft

There is one way to fix it yourself, you might not want to try it because it will void your warranty but if you do.

call 1-800-4MY-XBOX.  tell them your console has the RROD, and they will send you a box to send it out and get it fixed for free.  It only takes a week or 2.  I would not try to fix it yourself , because if you do not succeed, then Microsoft won't fix it.

Calling Micro$oft will be your best bet.

They will send you a box via UPS and you will have to ship your console to them.

They'll try to fix it, and if they can't, they'll ship you a new console (which is good because you get a newer model, but bad because your DLC will not work when you are not connected to the internet).

The process took about 3 weeks for me.

Don't listen to these people saying you can get it done cheap or doing it yourself, if your console's still in warranty then ring up xbox (you can find the number by going to www.xbox.com ) and explain your problem, then your console is collected, repaired by microsoft and delivered back to you for free.
