Xbox 360 wired headset probleems?

i have an xbox 360 wired headset and it workes fine i can hear people clear but when i talk it is not loud and people are asking me to talk louder. i tested it by making a voice message and it is very quiet whats wrong?

it sounds like it is broken so u will have toget a new 1

Before buying a new one, have you checked to make sure you're output volume is all the way up? Open your guide button, go to personal settings, and make sure your voice output is all the way up.
