  1. try unplugging your router for a minute, then plugging it back in. or get a wire.

most likely what's happening is that your wireless connection is dropping and when it goes to reconnect, the signal isn't available. this could be due to either the router being flaky, or the wireless adapter being unable to hear it.

try using a computer with wireless internet in the same area; if it experiences the same issues it's probably the router. if it's doing fine it will be the xbox adapter. note that by 'same area' i mean like within a foot or two.

if you're experiencing issues with wireless in that one spot, but it's fine in other areas in the house, move the xbox around (or the router). there may be electrical or electronic interference from wiring or other devices disrupting the signal between the 2.

  2. i have herad nothing but bad stuff about the adapter.

I would try to move your 360 as close to the router as possible, as well as make sure you block your neighbors routers from interfering with your signal.
