Don't buy the xbox 360 wireless adapter.  I really do not like the fact that it only likes WEP, a really bad method of securing a wireless network.  Instead, I suggest 3 of the following:

Cheapest method: Tether your laptop to the xbox.  This or a related video will show you how to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UHQ3XnSO...

You can get a wireless video game adapter.  This will connect from your ethernet jack on the back of your xbox to the video game adapter and then be wireless.  The connections are pretty much exactly the same as hooking it up to a laptop.  Make sure the video game adapter supports WPA2.

The most expensive method is to get powerline.  You get what you pay for.  This method is the easiest to setup.  This is about the same price as the xbox wireless adapter.  Check out these videos:

first to set it up you need wifi wireless internet if you have wifi you plug in your network adaptor to your xbox and you go over to system and network settings and connect to your wireles wifithen you should be on the internet
