Why won't my 360 play all of the songs that I have on my ipod? I have over 500 songs and it will only play like 50 or 60. What is up with that?

  1. when you make a purchase from the itunes store, the song is an encrypted song, meaning that you can only play it in your itunes and ipod. but music you import from a CD will not be encrypted, meaning that you will be able to play them on your 360. now if you are determined to unencrypt them, there is free software that you can download from the internet that will unencrypt it and throw it back into your itunes. just google "unencrypt itunes songs" and you should get it. i have used it myself, and it works very well. it also changes them to MP3 meaning you can play it on anything (like your 360). hope this helps.

  2. They won't play because they are protected. This means that they aren't playable on just any software and you can only burn them to a CD x number of times, etc. iTunes songs that you have purchased ARE protected. (Just another way Apple rips people off)

  3. If you purchased any songs from itunes, it probably won't play them.
