I recently moved, I got a new connection. Comcast high speed internet, I got a RCA modem. I used to have a router so connecting to xbox live was easy, Now idk what to do. I used the connection help on xbox.com and it didnt work. I tried plugging in ethernet from xbox to back of modem didnt work. I tried a single ethernet into the xbox that gives me my computer internet, that didnt work. My only option left is to buy a router i think. Is there any other way to get my internet working, mabye plugging ethernet into back of the computer or something? I have no idea. Thanks for your help.

you need to set up the 360 to see your network.  You will need to give the 360 a IP address that corresponds to your network.  Also you will need to type in the DNS server(s) into the 360.  These can be found if you go to your computer and go to start then run.  type CMD and press enter.  Then type ipconfig and press enter and da ta.  You'll be good to go inless then 5 min

hi i have had the same problem with a bad connection on my PS3 i have been looking around every where i have not done anything about it but i did hear something about power line thing that looks like it will do us a job ! you plug it in a wall near your router then plug a LAN wire that comes with it into the back of the router and then you do the same with the other one in your 360 then in your power line thats in the wall there is a twin pack on amazon.co.uk for £40 if you get it could you tell me how you got on with it ?
