Xbox live connection issues?

hi, i wirelessly connect my xbox and when I do connection test it sometimes works and then disconnects when i try to make my live account and mostly the ip doesn't work when i try to connect please help

i have run into some problems with my wireless connection to my xbox before, make sure that the ip address that it is picking up matches that of your connection, also make sure that if you have a encryption password that it is entered on your xbox, and also something else i like to do when it acts weird is go to your network settings and test xbox live connection, sometimes it fixes itself, and one more thing you might want to try would be to reset the factory defaults in the network settings portion of your xbox and rescan for wireless internet connections, sometimes the xbox likes to pick up crappy connections that barely work when there is a perfectly good one right there, so yeah, hopefully if you try that stuff then it'll work, if not then yeah your xbox might just be broken, but i doubt that it is
