Xbox live nobody can hear me (except friends) but I can hear them

I bought an Xbox yesterday and got Xbox live. I have a few friends on it with which I can speak to through the headset in a game and on the dashboard. When I go into a game with. a friend, they can hear me, but nobody else can. In short, only people on my friends list can hear me but I can hear everyone. It's nothing to do with the headset, and we've changed the family settings to Everyone. What do I do?

  1. you have to go into the consol setting and under live accounts change the family settings so that everything is to yes then u can play and hear what every one elese is saying...!

  2. this could also be that your NAT is strict, test your live connection and see what it says, if its strict then you need to forward the relevant ports to the xbox

  3. thyats because u have the wrong settings, maby you have a limited account or in other words a childs account. you can change this in th settings, so just have a fiddle with them

im not sure how u change the child setting cause ive nevr done it, try googling it
