Xbox live...................?

i have a wirelesss laptop and want to set up xbox live. but it says i dont have the right IP adress, then i looked in the manuel and it says i have to go through the router our modem. Do i have to go through the router or modem to st it up? THANKS

If you are saying you want to use your Laptopas a wireless adapter so you can play Xbox live. Make sure you have a strong wireless signal in the house. and follow the directions on the source.

i'm assuming that right now you have a router and a laptop in your house.  If you want to connect your xbox to you laptop and get an actual connection you have to have a bridge.  On your laptop go to network and sharing center, probably at the bottom right of your screen right now(right l**k on the computer).  Once you get there click manage network connects.  Copy both of the icons on the screen and right click.  Select bridge and your done.  Now when you plug the ethernet cable from your laptop to your xbox you'll have a connection. Your welcome haha.
