Xbox live will not stay connected??

Question

when i sign in to xbox live it stays connected for only about 2 minutes then disconnects, but everytime i test the connection it passes but the icmp takes the longest to pass, what is wrong. it is not wireless and te ethernet cord i use to plug it in is also the cord i use to get on the internet on my laptop and it runs fine.

go check the cable.

ICMP always takes awhile to check, that's normal.

My guess is you just have a faulty cable or you need to reset your modem and router.
